Ah, I should have known [I did, actually!] that this eclipse would not be dramatic and in fact the darkening of the moon was barely discernible…. so I packed up my gear and came back down to a nice hot meal.

The first of four penumbral lunar eclipses for 2009 will happen tomorrow the 9th Feb.
The moon looks nice an plump today and was clearly visible in the Eastern sky even at 5:15 PM today.

Tomorrow’s eclipse will start at 18:38 Bangladesh local time, it will be much darker at that time and the visibility is expected [...]
