Red Silk Cotton Tree - Bombax ceibaDriving back home on this warm [hot!] spring day and the “Red Silk Cotton Tree” [Bombax ceiba] is in full bloom showing off its glory. The birds flocking to suck up the nectar offered by the large red flowers. Got my gear, and set up a tripod at the side of the street attracting a curious crowd of around 30. The birds went away but gradually came back as they must have gotten used to the bunch of humans gathered below.

Chestnut-tailed Starling - Sturnun malabaricus  Red-vented Bulbul - Pycnonotus cafer bengalensis
Jungle Myna - Acridotheres fuscus  Chestnut-tailed Starling - Sturnun malabaricus

Time to get back home for a cool beer now….
