Have been travelling down this road to Ashulia and Savar for the past few weeks now, and every time I wished I had a camera with me. Today I did, but could not get the images I wanted.

Curious- what is done w/ the broken bricks?
Bangladesh has almost no rock, so the bricks are broken up into clinker for use as construction ballast – road-building and even for buildings! Wonder sometimes why they don’t set-up a clinker-factory…. guess manual labor is cheaper!
