January 20th 2010. Really Rosie WIP 3. Rehearsals continue, and things are coming together. The sequence of events and the melding of the various parts being rehearsed separately in groups are gelling… Photographed some dance pieces and some from the opening section as well. Looking good!

Something really special about it

When I had sacked-off and traded-in a couple of DX lenses [Nikkor 17-55 f/2.8 and the 18-200 VR], I  bought a brand-new 24-70 f/2.8 Nano and a used 80-200 f/2.8 . The 24-70 performs well, as expected. But the lens that really shines out is this older 80-200.  When I tested it at the shop, [...]

Second photo session on Jan 17th 2010. Today’s rehearsal session was held in the theatre, so I had a chance to setup 2 wireless SB800′s in the upper gallery. Put a Honl 1/2 CTO gel on each to warm up the scene a bit and give the photos a warm “stage ligting”  effect. Other photos [...]
