26th January 2011. Hong Kong.
The 61st Republic Day of India.
It was a pleasure to share the proud moment when friend Dharmendra Gaddam [Consul General of India at Hong Kong] unfurled [his first time] the Indian Tricolor and read the President’s speech to the Nation at his residence in HK. A lovely gathering of the Indian community – the kids wore “Nehru caps” made of newspaper with the Tricolor painted on, and performed a few dances. The hot samosas and gulab-jamuns were a bonus treat!
