This family of monkeys would visit  every evening and sit atop a neighbour’s roof in Simla. Here they are, huddling after a day of heavy rain. Except for Dad Monk who stays aloof….

Sweet water

This used to be a small natural spring on the road to Mashobra from Dhali, which in later years has been constructed with a metal pipe to make it easier for people to gather drinking water or drink directly from the spout with hands cupped below the spout [in the traditional Indian style of drinking [...]
