New Years Day 2013
Traveling by car from Jaipur to Delhi, looking out the window and often through the camera’s viewfinder.
The rough and stark Rajastan landscape is dry, sky is blue with wispy cloud formations, the formations change quickly sometimes but mostly just become small variations of the pattern, the perspective keeps changing, objects close in the landscape move fast distant hills shift slowly, the clouds drift even slower. Dozing.The scene changes, the perspective shifts, but differently. I see the same cloud formation, I follow it, it shifts and changes. The sudden flurry of pigeons in flight breaks the spell… I was chasing a cloud it was not a dream.
