A photo trip with good friend Stein Naevdal up the Balu River aboard the Peacock - a traditional Bangladeshi motorized sailboat boat – on 20th November early morning just as the sun was rising.
We got to Tolna [coordinates: 23°51'1.00" N  90°28'24.26"E] just before 7 AM in time to see the Peacock pulling up to the small pier [...]

An early morning trip to Isapura village [23°49'37.72" N  90°29'19.09" E] near Dhaka today, with Ujwala. We left early [just after 6] and the light was beautiful while we were on the way, thought it would be gone by the time we reached our destination…. but luckily we got there well in time to watch [...]

The Jatrabari bridge across the Buriganga river.
Drove out to try locate an aea where, apparently, the local Sarees in brightly dyed colors are hung out to dry. I’ve seen these before too and the image in my minds-eye was clear. I was expecting to come across brilliant fabrics in all colors and was excited [...]
