Hard-drive failure. Unrecoverable. 160 GB of image files [NEFs, DNGs, PSDs, TIFFs, JPGs]. Thats what, around 20,000 clicks? Oh well. Of all of that, only the images from that last shooting session of 11/15/08 are on the drive. Strange! What happened to all the stuff from before that? Gone. Lesson learned: Back it up. Back [...]
Taking another crack at the Lensbaby, getting the hang of the focus.. lighting with a wireless strobe for a bit more “pop” in the images.
One helluva toy! The Lensbaby 2.0 is here. Could not wait to try it out. What a fun lens this is. Will write more about the lens later [some info is posted here]and will definitely post new images… right now it is time to post the first experimental images. I still have to get used [...]

Katz Eye screen. Have always liked Nikon’s “old” style focusing screens as in the old classic SLRs… and have never liked the “modern high tech” ones in their DSLRs. Did a search and came across the KatzEye Optics. Just installed one of their custom made screens. WOW! This screen is just what I wanted. Split [...]
