An early morning trip to Isapura village [23°49'37.72" N  90°29'19.09" E] near Dhaka today, with Ujwala. We left early [just after 6] and the light was beautiful while we were on the way, thought it would be gone by the time we reached our destination…. but luckily we got there well in time to watch [...]

Started out with a “Friday Afternoon Art Fair” at AIS-D…
  
  
….then to view an exhibition by 11 artists [which includes a couple of friends: Ujwalaand Ashit] who have put up their prints for all to view after a Print Making workshop – the exhibition is called “Mechanical Fantasy” at Britto…
   
   
   
 
.. and finally to Dhaka University’s Jagannath [...]

Children from USTAV School Dhaka visit Radius Gallery to view the “Jhaal Muri” exhibition, and they all seem to have had a wonderful time. We asked them which pictures were their favourites – very diplomatically they said “ALL”! Apparently they then all sat on the floor and recited poetry and did a few dances, I [...]

The Hanging….
As terrible as that sounds, it is not that terrible at all!
Except that it did take the mickey out of us getting the sequencing, spacing and positioning the way we wanted it to be. No compromizes. The artwork was hung and taken down 3 times before we got the right look we were after. [...]

A lovely drizzly holiday day… just perfect for a drive out to the Institute of Fine Arts after a couple of drinks and a spicy hot South Indian lunch!
