Today was practice day for the Band again.
Coordination between band members is stronger and they play tighter.

4th photo session for the work-in-progress: 27Â Jan 2010.
The cast are more familiar with their lines and are picking up cues easily. The play is coming together and the kids are beginning to open up to their parts. Plenty of on the spur of the moment innovations in their acting. Great to see [...]
January 20th 2010. Really Rosie WIP 3.
Rehearsals continue, and things are coming together. The sequence of events and the melding of the various parts being rehearsed separately in groups are gelling… Photographed some dance pieces and some from the opening section as well. Looking good!
Second photo session on Jan 17th 2010.
Today’s rehearsal session was held in the theatre, so I had a chance to setup 2 wireless SB800’s in the upper gallery. Put a Honl 1/2 CTO gel on each to warm up the scene a bit and give the photos a warm “stage ligting” effect.

Am to photograph practice sessions and the actual performance of Really Rosie at AIS-D this season.
The first session of Work In Progress was done yesterday – just banged off a few frames as reference for faces, listened to the players saying their lines, listened to bits of the tunes … I will need to know [...]
Surprised to see that a photograph taken by me in May 2007 of the Main Building of Bishop Cotton School [in Shimla, India where I studied from 1960-70] was used for a Commemorative Postage Stamp issued on 6th October 2009 as a feature for the Sesquicentennial celebrations of BCS!

Class project: “Supply and Demand“.
The kids had to decide on a product, create a business proposal, calculate the cost price and a profit margin and the sale price, do some “market research” and then go setup the business at school on Monday morning.  Mannat decided that Papa’s waffles would sell well.
