A photo trip with good friend Stein Naevdal up the Balu River aboard the Peacock - a traditional Bangladeshi motorized sailboat boat – on 20th November early morning just as the sun was rising.
We got to Tolna [coordinates: 23°51'1.00" N  90°28'24.26"E] just before 7 AM in time to see the Peacock pulling up to the small pier [...]

Kash Phul – Kans grass – Wild sugarcane -  Saccharum spontaneum – “flowers” in the Autumn for a short while just after the rains have ended. The flowers [which are really the seeds escased in a tuft] will be gone in just a few days.

Drove out to Ashulia for lunch at Little Italy and spotted this purple house on the Turag.
The river has become quite wide from all the heavy rain we have been having. The river dwindles down to a narrow strip before the monsoon rains come. You can see the width of the river behind the Banyan [...]
