A rusty chain threaded between the roots of a Banyan tree and a lock holding it all together – wonder what purpose this serves? Someone used to chain a bicycle or rickshaw to the tree for safekeeping?

A week into Spring [9th day actually...it is the 9th of "Falgun" here]… and the Mahogany pods are beginning burst and shed their whirly-bird seeds… … and the birds are having a ball
